Many names come from the root “fava”: Fabio, Fabia, Fabian, Fabiana and Fabiola. I think it attests to the importance of fava beans in antiquity.

Where do you buy fresh fava beans? I can’t remember ever seeing them in the produce section.

(They call them “ful akhdar” in Arabic which means green fava beans)
